NOTICE: Japanese Language Placement Test

sushi (tuna)The Japanese Program at the University of Arkansas administers the Japanese Placement Test. This test takes place during Week 1 of every semester, and it is free of charge.

  • This test is NOT offered for credit.
  • This test is designed for students at the University of Arkansas who have learned the Japanese language elsewhere.
  • This test aims to help examinees find a class at an appropriate level.
  • This test includes questions at first- to third-year levels.
    -FORMAT-
  • This test consists of multiple-choice questions. Examinees will write their answers with a pencil on a Scantron sheet.
  • This test consists of listening comprehension, grammar, reading, and content-based questions.
