"To provide support for those whose religious beliefs do not fall in the mainstream and to supply information about alternative religions and various polytheistic and pagan cultures."

People of all faiths and both students and non-students are welcome to attend any of our meetings. Send e-mail to pagan@mail.uark.edu for more info or to join our notification list.

S.P.A. has been a Registered Student Organization at the University of Arkansas since 1993. We have also been a member of the University's Council of Religious Organizations since 1994. S.P.A. generally has around 30+ members per year and around 100 persons on our mailing list. S.P.A. encourages tolerance towards persons of all faiths, and excellence in the polytheistic or pagan paths. We typically have members of numerous polytheistic, pagan, and non-pagan faiths every year. We also have the support of a number of ordained local polytheist/pagan ministers (and many other pagan-friendly ones, as well) and licensed therapists, if you need counseling or legal ceremonies performed.

As a polytheistic/pagan group in Fayetteville, we are pleased to have ties with several other good-sized pagan organizations in the Fayetteville area, such as the Fayetteville Covenant of Unitarian-Universalist Pagans,
NWA Kindred (Scandinavian/Germanic Paganism/Heathenry), Pagan Alliance of Northwest Arkansas (PANWA), Sol Invictus O.T.O. Camp (Thelema), the Wiccan Open Rituals of Fayetteville, Arkansas (ORFA) , the Highfill Circle of Plenty , the Celtic Pagan Ritual Planning Group , etc.

WHO ARE NEO-PAGANS?

"We are not evil. We don't harm or seduce people. We are not dangerous. We are ordinary people like you. We have families, jobs, hopes, and dreams. We are not a cult. This religion is not a joke. We are not what you think we are from looking at T.V. We are real. We laugh, we cry. We are serious. We have a sense of humor. You don't have to be afraid of us. We don't want to convert you. And please don't try to convert us. Just give us the same right we give you -- to live in peace. We are much more similar to you than you think."
