UCM mission statement

Believing
that the mission of the Church is to express God's love in the world
and that this ministry of reconciliation must demonstrate the unity which Christ gives his disciples
the Presbyterian Church (USA) and the Christian Church (Disciples of Christ)
covenant together for a united ministry at the University of Arkansas (Fayetteville).

In so doing, we declare our oneness with all other Christian Communions
engaged in ministry in higher education
and affirm our openness to create a more inclusive union
as we are led by the Holy Spirit to greater oneness with the will of God for the Church
and to greater faithfulness in mission in our world.
We also affirm our openness to persons and ministries of other faiths.
The purpose of this ministry is to enhance and enrich the Christian faith
and life of the University community and its members.
