Mills of Arkansas for over thirteen years. Gene passed away in 1996; he was President of Arkansas Education Television Foundation in Conway. My daughter is Susan Laura Goss, age 29, born in Little Rock, graduated Parkview Arts and Sciences Magnet in Little Rock and George Washington University, now working at Anderson Orthopedic Research Institute and Clinic in Alexandria.

    My favorite memory of BSU was Jamie Jones. I believed he was as perfect as a person could be. Judy Isabel Brown Garner, my roommate and later missionary to Malawi for over thirty years, was even more fanatical on the subject. One day we got in an argument. I said Jamie was perfect but not infallible. Judy maintained that I must be totally nuts for she knew with total certainty that Jamie was too infallible. We went back and forth on the subject for several hours. Then, that evening we went to First Church for the evening service. Jamie got up to speak to the college group. He started out by saying, for some reason I cannot remember, "I am not infallible." Well, that was all she wrote for Judy and me. We laughed so hard we couldn't keep from falling out of our chairs and we laughed during the entire sermon that evening.
