Laura is finishing up her Master's of Divinity in May from Duke Divinity School and has also accepted an Evangelism Fellow spot in the Doctorate of Theology program at Duke Divinity. Bill is still enjoying his job as pastor of FBC-Burkburnett, TX. Heather and Lance are still in Choctaw, OK. Lance is in his fourth year of Med School and is currently interviewing for his residency, which will begin this next July. Heather is working as a part-time elementary school counselor in Jones, OK, and full-time at home keeping up with the kids. They have two children Will (2) and Hadley Elizabeth Watson, who was born on July 26 this year. Kara and Alan are still living in Humble (really Houston), TX. She is an assistant high school and head 9th grade basketball coach at Humble High School. She aslo teaches 9th grade English. Alan is teaching Math at Baytown Christian High School. He also is working with the baseball team at San Jacinto Junior College.

  • Middlecamp, Matt & Jacque-Adventures of the Middlecamps! As Matt and I were driving out of Fayetteville, AR to come back to New Orleans, I looked at him and said that I am no longer going to refer to packing up your car with all your belongings and going to a new place to live as "Moving", but rather I was going to call it "Adventures". We have now had our 4th "Adventure" since August 2006. For those of you who didn't know, Matt and I are now back in New Orleans.
    After spending some time with our families in Arkansas and doing some real thinking about what God wanted us to do next. We decided that Matt should finish school at New Orleans, which would mean that we would need to begin that process to move back.
    We called the school to let them know that we were planning on moving back to New Orleans in the Fall (so, we were thinking August). My (Jacque) boss called me and let me know that I could have my job back if I wanted it and that he had a place for us to stay for free. I could start anytime that I wanted but he made it very clear that I was needed ASAP. So, Two weeks later we were on the road back to New Orleans.
    It has been really good to be back and see some of our friends. We are living on campus in a hotel room with a mini refrigerator and a microwave. It is definitely interesting, but we make it work. As soon as some apartments come open we will be moving into an apartment, but we aren't really sure when that is going to be.
    We have really enjoyed being back in the city, but things are definitely different now.
