Janie S. Hipp J.D., LL.M.

Janie Hipp serves as an Assistant Professor of Agricultural Law &Agriculture and Natural Resources Public Policy Specialist, University of Arkansas Division of Agriculture Cooperative Extension Service and Department of Agricultural Economics and AgriBusiness. Previously, Janie was with the National Center of Agricultural Law Research and Information, Serving as Interim Director, Associate Director & Staff Attorney, and as Assistant Research Professor of Law, University of Arkansas School of Law. Recently she was appointed to the USDA Secretary's Advisory Committee on Beginning Farmers and Ranchers.

Program Description: What Every Woman Should Know about Agriculture and the Law

Presentation will involved discussion of environmental, property, contract, civil liabilities, liability for those coming onto your property and developing legal issues, including animal identification and food safety concerns.

Program Description: Legal Q & A Including Oil and Gas Leases

Questions and real life scenarios will be discussed in this session. Come equipped with your questions and we'll engage in a lively discussion to hopefully get you going in the right direction. We will do a brief "legal issues of marketing" during the course of the discussion as the eventual selling/marketing of your products is of great importance to us all.
