Biomass Workshop Objective

The objective of this workshop is to educate legislators, entrepreneurs, the business and manufacturing community, community leaders and interested citizens about the potential for biomass, and especially Arkansas biomass, in the production of energy and value-added products. The workshop was made possible from a U.S. Department of Energy grant from the Southern States Energy Board (SSEB). Additional sponsors include the College of Engineering at the University of Arkansas (U of A), Fayetteville; the U of A System's Division of Agriculture; the Arkansas Department of Economic Development - Arkansas Energy Office; Winrock International; the Poultry Federation, Arkansas Farm Bureau and the Agricultural Council of Arkansas. The workshop will draw on the expertise of Arkansas biomass experts and invited speakers/workshop coordinators.
