Mike McShane is a PhD. candidate and Distinguished Doctoral Fellow in the Department of Education Reform. He graduated from the University of Notre Dame's Alliance for Catholic Education program in 2009 with a Master's Degree in Education. During his time in ACE, he taught at St. Jude Educational Institute in Montgomery, Alabama, teaching 9th and 10th grade English, and courses on the Old Testament, the New Testament, and Morality. During his time at St. Jude he also tutored students for the ACT, planned and supervised retreats, and was the assistant coach of the baseball team. During his coaching tenure, the Pirates made two consecutive Alabama state playoff berths in both the 1A and 2A classes. During the summers, he has worked at KC Watersports, the Midwest's premier action sports facility, as an operations manager, boardshop employee, snack bar supervisor, Twitterer-in-chief, and tournament announcer.
