The University of Arkansas’ Institute of Food Science & Engineering offers various services to residents of Arkansas. Listed below are some of those services. Our intent is to assist entrepreneurs and small business owners to grow their businesses and therefore offer many of these services at low or no cost. pH and Aw;
We will check the pH (acidity) and Aw (water activity) of your food product to be consistent with FDA regulations. This service is offer at no cost. Simply send a small sample to Mike Davis, Pilot Plant Manager; 2650 North Young Road; Fayetteville AR 72704. Include what you would like done with the sample and your contact information.
Nutritional Label;
The Institute can develop your nutritional label for you. Just tell us what is in the product and the amount and we can generate the nutritional label. Click here for the form to fill out and further instructions.
Pilot Plant
