Founded in 2004, the University of Arkansas Chorale enriches Northwest Arkansas by providing the community with the opportunity to experience exceptional performances of choral masterworks.
While the Arkansas Ozarks have long been known for a rich musical heritage, the Master Chorale has brought classical vocal and orchestral music to both Washington and Benton counties with a full schedule of concerts each season.
Under the direction of Graeme Langager, the Master Chorale brings together the musicians of the community and of the University, as well as professional soloists and instrumentalists, to perform the works of such great composers as Mozart, Brahms, Verdi, and Handel. Lesser-known composers, too, find a place in the Master Chorale’s repertoire and therefore in the life of our community. Providing local singers the opportunity to share in the creation of timeless music, and local residents the chance to hear live classical music, the Master Chorale has become a significant resource for Northwest Arkansas.
