(internet based TOEFL-Test of English as a Foreign language)

ELIGIBILITY: The Test of English as a Foreign Language (TOEFL) measures the ability of nonnative speakers of English to use and understand North American English as it is used in college and university settings. Scores on the test are required by more than 5,000 two- and four-year colleges and universities (including the University of Arkansas), professional schools, and sponsoring institutions in over 90 countries. TEST DESCRIPTION:  iBT TOEFL - The Internet based TOEFL test measures English language proficiency in the following areas:

  • Listening
  • Speaking
  • Reading
  • Writing


iBT TOEFL - The deadline to register online for a test is seven days before the test date.

FEES: iBT TOEFL - $150

April 3, 2009 8:00 a.m.
May 8, 2009 8:30 a.m.
July 17, 2009 8:30 a.m.
August 11, 2009 8:30 a.m.

REGISTRATION: For iBT TOEFL, Register to take the TOEFL® Internet-based test using one of the methods described below.

ID REQUIREMENT: For examinees testing within their country of citizenship (American students) any government-issued identification such as passport, drivers license, state ID, and military ID are all acceptable (one must contain a recent photo and signature). If you are not testing in your own country of citizenship, you MUST bring your passport in order to be tested.
