The inaugural conference of the New South Consortium will focus on “the Status of Women and Minorities in the New South”, examining a range of policy and business relevant dimensions, including issues such as education reform, standards of living, demographic changes across states and time, employment patterns, and individual level perceptions of economic opportunity. During our inaugural conference we will develop and coordinate plans to host future meetings on a regular basis to continue providing valuable information for policy and economic leaders.

Survey Directors
The various state polls sample 700-800 respondents each, which yields survey results with a margin of error of ± 3-4 percent. When polling together, the New South Consortium should generate an impressive sample revealing the opinions of up to 9,000 respondents across the region.
