Welcome to the Association of Computer Machinery at the University of Arkansas

Mission Statement:

It sponsors projects of interest to computer science and computer engineering majors and others interested in computers and computing. Activities include lectures by computing experts from business and education, computer exhibitions, high school programming contests, university programming contests at the local and regional level, field trips, social events, and athletic events for those so inclined.

Membership with ACM

Joining ACM is simple and hassle free.  To become a member simply visit the ACM membership site, fill out the required information, pay a small fee and you are now a member of ACM.  ACM is active on campus and offers talks about diverse computer issues and concepts.  ACM also has a vast network of resources for CSCE students including online libraries, periodicals, professional development, special interest groups, the opportunity to attend conferences, career resources and programming competitions.  ACM hosts a local Spring programming competition hosted by Acxiom and an International competition with students from campuses all over the World hosted by IBM.
