Dear Scout Leaders,
First, we would like to thank all of you have registered so far. We are excited that we have had so
much interest in Scouting University and are looking forward to seeing you on
March 6th!
For those who have not yet registered, there are a few things that we would like
to stress.
Citizenship in the Community is now a half day class. If a scout lists Citizenship in the
Community as one of their choices, they need to list another half day class. If no other classes are listed, we
will be forced to assign the scout to any other half day class with seats
available.
Please check to make sure that scouts list their top 3 preferences. If a scout lists only one or two
classes and those are not available, we will be forced to assign that scout to
any class that has open seats.
We will no longer accept registrations
via email. We must have payment
before we can process registration and it is impossible for us to do this
electronically. Even if you are
sending a check in the mail, we will not process your registration until we
receive the check. It does not mean
you will get your registration in sooner, nor is it an efficient way for us to
organize registration. Also, if you
physically put your envelope in our mailbox, please put the date on the
envelope. This way, we are aware of
the date we received your registration.
Late Registration ends Feb. 26th
and registration packets must be received by this date, not postmarked. We cannot accept
registrations past this date and will not make any exceptions. Again, we stress that emailed
registrations will not be accepted.
For those who have Scouts that will be there for only half the day, there are
certain things we need to know. We
need to know which scouts are going to be checked out early, when they are going
to be leaving, and who is going to be picking them up. The adult that will be picking up the
scout must come to the registration
booth in the Arkansas Union. We will
send a runner to bring that scout to the Union-Scouts will not be allowed to
leave on their own or go anywhere without one of our runners. We thank you for understanding
that this is a precaution in place for the scouts’ safety.
Thank you,
Megan West and Alana Hale
