Welcome. Thank you for considering Fulbright College and
the University of Arkansas. We appreciate your confidence
in the university and assure you that our goal is to help
all of our students succeed. We want the campus to be their new home
away from home.
Fulbright College is the only college in the nation named after former UA president, Senator, and statesman J. William Fulbright. We are committed to his legacy of promoting international understanding through education — which, at its best, cultivates in students a commitment to a lifetime of learning.
In the College, we offer innovative, interdisciplinary programs in the best liberal arts tradition. With 19 departments and several specialized programs, we offer students nearly unlimited opportunities — to discover, explore, and grow.

Applying: It Couldn't be Easier
Our next class of freshmen can go online to http://admissions.uark.edu/app/index.shtml and apply there or download an application form.
Each application is reviewed individually, taking into consideration a student's program of study in high school, academic performance, standardized test score (ACT/SAT), extracurricular activities, and leadership qualities.
Students who have taken all the required preparatory curriculum courses and who have a minimum GPA of 3.0 and an ACT score of 20 (or SAT of 930) or better will be admitted automatically. Students who do not meet qualifications may be admitted on the basis of individual review of their application portfolios.
How to Pay for College
First, to find out what tuition and fees will be, you can use the online estimator.
The federal government, the university, and Fulbright College offer many ways to finance a college education. We encourage you to start by completing the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA). Millions of dollars in federal financial aid are awarded to UA students each year, and there is no fee to apply.
The University of Arkansas has one single application for entering freshman academic scholarships, which include the Chancellor’s, Sturgis, Silas Hunt, University, Leadership, and Honors College Academy Scholarships. New students can complete the online application or download and print a paper application. This single application allows them to apply for 90% of merit-based scholarships available to entering freshmen.

Campus Life
Students benefit by living on campus their first year. All single freshmen under 21 are required to live on campus in a residence hall, or in their parents' or legal guardian’s home. The residence halls are managed by dedicated and highly trained professional staff who are committed to student success.
In residence halls students live in supportive, socially vibrant, and culturally diverse academic communities. A residence hall is a home away from home that our students will remember fondly long after they graduate. It is a place where life-long friendships are made.
Choosing a roommate and selecting a hall are both done online.
Room selection dates and times are assigned in the order in which completed contracts are received. Students who have submitted a completed contract will have their room selection date and time posted to MyChecklist by 5 p.m. Central Time on the following dates: January 3, 17 and 31; February 2 and 21; March 7, 14 and 28; and April 4 and 11.
