1. "God of the gaps"
1. When science cannot answer a question, creationists use God as a catch all answer. He is nothing more than a convenient means of filling in gaps where scientific knowledge is lacking. He is the God of the gaps.
Retort: Scientists attribute to God that which science has determined to best be explained as a work of God. Science has discovered and established the the principle that all cells come from existing cells. This is called the law of biogenesis. This is not a lack of knowledge but rather the discovery and confirming of knowledge.
