The Learned Ladies
by: Moliere
Directed by: MFA Candidate, Emily Jones
In love and absolutely adorable, Clitandre and Henriette yearn to be married. Unfortunately for them, they must first deal with an impossibly ridiculous Aunt, a highly jealous sister, an overrun father, a formidable mother and a mediocre poser poet. Will Clitandre and Henriette trounce the ridiculous and live happily ever after? The play is also a social satire on the academic pretention, female education and preciousness of the XVIIth Century France.
