Faculty & Staff
A resident of Fayetteville, Arkansas for 28 years, Gail Leftwich has been teaching dance for the Department of Drama at University of Arkansas for 16 of those years. She was a founding member and choreographer for the Dance Coalition, a non-profit, community based group striving to promote the art of dance in Northwest Arkansas, a passion for which she is forever dedicated. Her choreography has been seen in musicals produced by University of Arkansas, as well as in Dance Coalition concerts, area high schools, and local performing groups. In 2002, she was recipient of an Individual Artist Fellowship award in choreography from the Arkansas Arts Council.
Nearing an obsession, she attends dance performances near and far, and otherwise can be found exploring the endlessly interesting flora and fauna of the Ozark hills, binoculars in hand.
