As you accumulate points, take your “running total” and divide it by
the total of how many points have been possible to that point.
Example: I have returned scores
to you for Exams No. 1 and 2 and the
Case Report. You made 75 on the first exam, 85 on the second exam and
50 on the case report. Your running total is 210. The points possible
to that point would be 250. You divide 210 by 250 and your score to
that point would be 84 percent.
To have an idea of your final grade, you’ll need to
estimate your Team Evaluation score (possible 50) because you will not
see those papers. After grades are posted, I will tell you what your
evaluation score is if you ask.
You’ll have an idea of what your class participation
grade is, but you won’t know it exactly until the end of the semester.
I would suggest that you estimate it as well if you want an idea of
your final grade.
Grading: The grading scale for
your final grade is:
A = 90-100%
(558 total points and above)
B =
80-89 % (496-557 total points)
C =
70-79 % (434-495 total points)
D =
60-69 % (372-433 total points
F = less than
60 % (fewer than 372 points)
