THE CENTRAL FORUM FOR RESEARCH IN PLANETARY SCIENCE:
The journal publishes invited reviews surveying major
topics in planetary science, research articles describing the results of
major new studies, editorials on topics of current interest and book reviews.
MAPS brings together professional scientists from a variety of
backgrounds and disciplines including astronomy, chemistry, geology, physics,
and biology.
THE LATEST RESEARCH:
Meteoritics & Planetary Science is published
monthly. It is available in hard copy and on-line. 75% of accepted
articles are in print within six months of submission.
Starting January 1, 2003 all journal
operations will be under
the editorship of Dr. T. Jull at the
University of Arizona.

COVERAGE:
Asteroids, comets, craters, interplanetary dust, interstellar
medium, lunar samples, meteors, meteorites, natural satellites, planets,
tektites, origin and history of the solar system.
AN INTERNATIONAL, NON-PROFIT RESEARCH JOURNAL:
The journal is published by the Meteoritical Society,
a scholarly organization whose purpose is to promote research and education
in planetary science. MAPS has subscribers in over 44 countries
with 50% of readers based outside the USA. The journal was first published
in 1953.
