Black-headed Grosbeak, Pheucticus melanocephalus.
A single bird was observed at close range from January 23-26, 1979, in Newton County near Boxley.

Blue Grosbeak, Guiraca caerulea.
April 19 to October 7. Common migrant and summer resident in old fields and in farmland with pastures and forest edge.

Rose-breasted Grosbeak, Pheucticus ludovioianus.
April 23 to May 28+ and September 6 to October 18. Common transient, especially during spring. There are also two records during summer, but no indication that either involved breeding birds.

Pine Grosbeak, Pinicola enucleator.
One bird was photographed near Mountain Home in Baxter County on January 10, 1978.

Evening Grosbeak, Coccothraustes vespertinus.
November 1 to June 16. Irregular winter visitor. During those years when the birds are present in the region they sometimes crowd around some home feeders, often in flocks of 20 to 30 birds.
