the Butler Center for Arkansas Studies!
Created in 1997 as a department of the Central Arkansas
Library System, the Butler Center is dedicated to exploring,
preserving, and interpreting the history of Arkansas.
In addition to a book publishing program, the Center
sponsors the online Encyclopedia of Arkansas History
and Culture, a number of programs to assist teachers
and students, and a full range of research services.
