Are you a new graduate assistant looking for resources?
Students who are graduate, research or teaching assistants can participate in the Graduate Student Teaching Enhancement Project (G-STEP). This program helps students transition to graduate student assistantships through targeted training and support around pedagogies, course design, technology, communication, classroom management and teaching practice. Ready to conquer the semester ahead?
The Student Success Center at the CORD offers tutoring, major exploration advising, academic coaching and writing and career support. For graduate students, the Office of Graduate Student Support provides programming, student engagement and professional development opportunities.
Additional academic resources:
- Computer Labs: Tech Spot computer labs are located across campus and offer printing, charging stations and access to a wide range of software.
- Student Handbooks: The Student Handbook and Graduate Student Handbook include information about the code of student life, housing, Greek Life and registered student organizations.
- Academic Calendar: Mark key dates for holidays, deadlines and breaks.
- Academic Accommodations: Get assistance from the Center for Educational Access (CEA).
- University Bookstore: Visit for textbooks, course materials, supplies, Razorback gear and graduation essentials.
- Online Students: Visit the One Stop Student Guide for campus services.
- International Students: The Office of International Students and Scholars offers seminars, intercultural training and country-specific workshops to encourage campus and community involvement.
Tech support and resources:
- IT Services: Tech support at the IT Help Desk is available in the Arkansas Union. Call 479-575-2905 or reach out online at help.uark.edu.
- Student Technology Center: Available in the Arkansas Union offering students technology and equipment access, gaming and leisure, as well as a Digital Media Lab for audio and video production, photography, graphics and animation.
- Tech Store and Service Center: Tech support, computer and iPhone repair, software access and more is available at both the Arkansas Union and the University Bookstore.
Need to get to class?
Whether you are driving, biking, riding the bus or walking to class – know your route and plan ahead.
- Riding the bus? Razorback Transit has improved routes and real-time tracking via Passio GO!
- Biking to class? Cyclists on sidewalks follow pedestrian rules, while cyclists on roads follow motor vehicle laws. Review trail etiquette and map your route.
- Need a scooter? E-scooters are allowed anywhere bikes are, but remember that campus is a slow zone (under 6 mph).
- Parking a car? Purchase a parking permit and review the parking map. Before home games and other special events, certain parking lots have to be vacated. Parking tickets can be handled online.
- Need assistance? Our Paratransit service is here to help those with accessibility needs that keep them from being able to use Razorback Transit. Call 479-575-6993 for more information or to apply for Paratransit use.

Call 479-575-SAFE (7233) for a safe means of transportation from any uncomfortable or inconvenient situation, after normal bus hours. New this semester: Safe Ride Sunday.
Have safety concerns?
Our full-service campus police department provides patrol, investigation and outreach. Dial 911 for emergencies or call 479-575-2222 for non-emergencies. The SafeZone mobile app can help you safely navigate campus and the Sexual and Relationship Violence Center is here to help. Report any non-emergency concerns at report.uark.edu.
Want to receive campus alerts?
Stay informed with the RazALERT system (pronounced raise-alert) on campus safety issues and emergency weather alerts. RazALERT emergency messages are sent automatically to all campus phones and email addresses if there is an immediate threat to campus safety. Make sure your contact information is updated.
